Marriage Week International Marriage Rededication Sermon Outline 2012

MARRIAGE REDEDICATION CEREMONY “When Solomon finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. The priests could not enter the temple of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled it. When all the Israelites saw the fire coming down and the glory of the LORD above the temple, they knelt on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave thanks to the LORD, saying, “He is good; his love endures forever.” (2 Chronicles 7:1-3)

I. Rededicate your Hearts to the LORD Deepen your relationship with Jesus. Spend daily time watering the garden of your soul with God’s word and private prayer. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

II. Rededicate your Marriage to the LORD Your marriage is one of the greatest evangelistic tool. The way a husband and wife learn to love, serve and submit to one another speaks of the work of God. Married couples have the opportunity to paint a picture of the future marriage between Christ and His bride.

Let marriage be held in honor among all… III. Rededicate your Family to the LORD Family is one of the highest gifts and responsibilities God gives us on this earth. Parents to lovingly raise their children and children to submit to the leadership of their parents. Let marriage be held in honor among all… (Hebrews 13:4, ESV)

Conclusion One of the highest goals of your marriage should be to present each other before Christ as a pleasant offering.
