Honoring God’s plan for rest changes my life. Is God your boss? Is God in control or are you? If you honor God; will God honor the fact that you’re honoring Him? Is God giving you a command or permission? I sense there is a growing sense of tiredness amoung Americans. A company cannot make a profit margin they used to make Investors stillwant the same return on investment Can’t afford the 100 employees Reduction in Force by 20% Now 80 doing the work of 100 Still can’t make it Another 20% Now 64 people doing work of 100 Another Reduction in Force 51 people doing work of 100 Working long hours, making bricks with no straw. Cram in Family time, play that exhausts, errands that have to be done, Walk miles in a big box store in order to save money, People get short tempered, family time is tense, Go to bed tired, wake up tired, constant pressure Volunteerism is very low in churches;

So What? Take a step of faith in this area Make a priority list of the voices you listen to. Where is God? Intentionally rest Notebook and pencil (no phone/tablet/screen) Evaluate your recreation Does it restore? Does it tire you out? What doesn’t need to be done(by you?)
