Why did Jesus die and rise again?

Why did Jesus die and rise again? To give us eternal life someday AND abundant life today. Eternal life someday God loved the world so much that He sent Me, His only Son, that whoever believes in Me will never die, but have eternal life. Jesus, John 3:16 Whoever hears My words and believes God who sent Me, has eternal life and will not be condemned. He has crossed from death to life. Jesus, John 5:24

Besides promising you heaven someday, what difference has Jesus made in your life today? peace in life’s storms focus/purpose in life a fresh start, a second chance grace/mercy that I can pass on to others. freedom from my past; victory over bad habits a family/community that accepts me love joy contentment
