MTHS AVID Recruitment Timeline January – Student recommendations are made for the MTHS AVID program by 8th grade teachers. February – AVID applications are mailed home for students that are recommended. March – AVID applications are due. Current 8th grade AVID students do not have to complete an application, but are required to sit for an interview with MTHS AVID Site Team. April – All current 8th grade students and potential new AVID students are interviewed by MTHS AVID Site Team members. April/May – Students are selected for the AVID program.
