Presentation transcript:

Do Now – Quickwrite 3/20/17 Please read and write down the quote in your composition notebooks: “Potential has no zip code, income level, color, gender, disability or labels. Every student has potential and it should be the common denominator in all relationships.” What do you think the words common denominator means in this quote? Why would someone’s zip code affect one’s potential? If you had to choose which of those obstacles might be an issue for you? Why? (If you feel that none of those are an issue; think of something else that is constantly a obstacle for you.)

AVID 2017 University of FL Gator Encounter This educational experience is designed to provide students the opportunity to attend breakout sessions, talk with professors and students, learn more about UF, learn more about the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and attend the Orange and Blue football game! For now I can have five students that are interested in agriculture and or life sciences. It costs the students $10 I think and AVID pays for the bus. Students will be going with other AVID students from the county. We are very excited to announce details for the 2017 University of Florida (UF) Gator Encounter!
