Society «Latvian Red Cross» Kurzeme branch year 2000 After the first experience trip to German Red Cross, in Talsi have been formed Latvian Red Cross branch Have been started first service - Humanitarian Aid Point and Health Room in Talsi District, Stende, 28 Robezu street, along with a successful and lasting cooperation with the German Red Cross Celle Committee.

Society «Latvian Red Cross» Kurzeme branch year 2003 In year 2003 the training is completed by Certified First Aid Teachers, and a First Aid Training License is obtained to every year train children and different groups of employees in the First Aid. With the large support of a Talsi municipality, the First Aid competition event for Talsi District School students is organized annually. Have been created LRC Youth Talsi Division, which participated in the first International Youth Forum in Germany. Has started a soup kitchen service for poor and disadvantaged people. In December year 2012 LRC Kurzeme branch made Ventspils branch. Society «Latvian Red Cross» Kurzeme branch year 2012 Members – 495 Volunteers – 35 Employees – 97 Branches – 11 Budget – 653 017,14 EUR In December year 2012 LRC Kurzeme branch made Ventspils branch. Services: Service "Care at home" was created in cooperation with the Social Services of the Municipality of Talsi (Talsi) Multifunctional family support center "Ventinmaja" (in cooperation with Ventspils City Social Service) and rent of technical aid equipment (Ventspils).
