Each country establishes its own (NREN) to provide the connectivity and communications for the research and education communities Currently most of the countries have established or started implementing an (NREN) Some countries use dark fiber to build the network and others use available telecom infrastructure by leasing circuits or IP connections. Meetings outcomes & Jordan’s Proposal

Meetings outcomes & Jordan’s Proposal Research & Education Networks Examples of the national networks in the Arab countries: Morocco: National Center of Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST) Egypt: Egyptian Universities Network (EUN) Algeria: Algerian Academic and Research Network (ARN/CERSIT) Palestine: Palestinian Association for the Development of Internet 2 (PADI2) Syria: Syrian Higher Education and Research Networks (SHERN) Jordan: Jordanian Universities Network (JUNet) Meetings outcomes & Jordan’s Proposal
