IEEE registration authority The IEEE 1609 Working Group has, in accordance with IEEE policy regarding use of unique identifiers and registration thereof, has established a registry for Provider Service Identifier (PSID) used in IEEE 1609 standards PSID registry is active and has received requests for assignment of PSIDs and has a list of assignments made, including those assignments by ISO TC204 WG18 for the ITS-AID that shares the same number space as the PSID Information about the IEEE RAC and registries at http://standards.ieee.org/develop/regauth IEEE registration authority
Summary of Proposed work item IEEE 1609.2 and ETSI TS 103 097 provide very similar functionality The March 2017 draft of 1609.2 amendment (P1609.2a) and the published IEEE Standard 1609.2-2016 provides a superset functionality of 103 097 Having a single standard reduces development, test, and operational costs as well as design risk 103 097 could be rewritten to profile 1609.2 and thereby attain the benefits It would be possible to do this in the short term with goodwill from IEEE under the current MOU; and. if additional work is required not covered by the MOU, negotiate a new instrument to produce cooperative work products Summary of Proposed work item
IEEE 802.11 project Time lines Proposed Revision PAR (TGmd) for IEEE 802.11-2016 was considered during the recent 802.11 Working Group Meeting, required for maintenance and rolling up amendments 11ai, 11ah, 11aj, 11ak, 11aq and 11ax, with estimated completion in 2021. P2020, Standard for Automotive System Image Quality P2030.1.1, Standard Technical Specifications of a DC Quick Charger for Use with Electric Vehicles P2690, Standard for Charging Network Management Protocol for Electric Vehicle Charging Systems; There is an emerging need in global markets for a formal standard for communication between EVCS and external device/services management systems. Such a protocol standard will provide a basis for increasing functionality and interoperability between EVCS and charging services networks P7001, Transparency of Autonomous Systems (AS); This standard is needed to set out expectations for transparency of AS, to the range of stakeholders outlined above, in order to build trust, provide the means to assure safety, and allow accountability and traceability. The standard will articulate a range of levels of transparency. OTHER VT/ITS PROJECTS
