Commercial Outlets

Topics Covered: Commercial Outlets Appointment Based Business Wholesaling Commercial Use of Arbonne Products

Purpose of the Direct Selling Model The sale & marketing of a product or service through a network of Independent Consultants (ICs) away from a fixed retail location. Person-to-person demonstrations combine quality products or services, a personal touch from a knowledgeable IC and memorable experiences.

Commercial Outlets Arbonne products may not be sold to the general public in a commercial outlet including retail stores, pharmacies, kiosks, swap meets, supermarkets, health food stores, discount establishments, flea markets, commercial offices, etc. Products cannot be displayed in public view, such as in a window display or in hotel rooms. Products cannot be sold or displayed through shopping network programs HSN, QVC

Wholesaling Responsibility ICs have a responsibility to inquire how their Clients will utilize the Arbonne products The IC will be held responsible if they knowingly sell to Clients who: resell the Arbonne products through a retail store resell the Arbonne products over the Internet import the Arbonne products into a country that is not authorized to sell Arbonne use any other method of distribution that violates the primary purpose of the direct selling business

Appointment Based Business Basics Arbonne has made a conscious business decision to allow ICs to sell Arbonne products in appointment based businesses as long as certain guidelines are followed. This decision allows ICs to leverage all aspects of their network while still following the direct selling model. Arbonne products may be sold or displayed in offices and other areas located in private clubs or membership only gyms that are not accessible to or in view of the general public and the private offices of professionals who operate by appointment only Doctors, dentists, chiropractors, beauty salons, membership only gyms, etc.

Appointment Based Business Basics Products or Arbonne signage may not be displayed in view to the outside public or on the appointment based business’ website or social media platforms. This includes displaying images of products and product packaging Products from other direct selling companies in the same generic product or service categories as offered by Arbonne may not be present or sold in the establishment.

Appointment Based Business Logistics The business itself cannot be registered as the Independent Consultant Only registered ICs can personally sell the Arbonne products at the business, which can include the owner of the appointment based business Operators of the appointment only based business may have employees assist with a sale transaction so long as the IC is present The operator of the business is solely responsible for the actions of their employees The Arbonne business is not a retail supplier thus product should be purchased as needed as inventory loading is prohibited

Appointment Based Business Logistics Orders must be placed online through the Arbonne system or by in-person sales The Client must be provided with an official Arbonne sales receipt/order form Products may not be sold to other ICs as they must order under their own Arbonne account

Cross Promotion ICs may have other ICs who seek out their services as clients of their other business by word-of-mouth ICs cannot solicit their downline or use their Arbonne contacts to promote their other business Promotion of these businesses must be totally separate even if the other business is utilizing Arbonne products The above guidelines must be followed in order to avoid a conflict of interest policy violation

Commercial Use of Arbonne Products Arbonne allows other businesses to use Arbonne products as ingredients in menu items they sell to consumers. Smoothie bars, coffee, tea shops, etc. In choosing to use Arbonne products the business must follow the Arbonne guidelines.
