The Value of Our Justification ROMANS The Value of Our Justification ROMANS 5:1-11

Acceptance With God 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

Acceptance With God Peace in our Hearts Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Acceptance With God Peace is our Message Romans 10:15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Ephesians 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

KEY POINT #1 Peace is knowing that you have been justified through Christ and have been accepted by God.

Access to God 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Access to God Access means “bringing one to” Ephesians 3:12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Rom 4:2b …wherein we stand… Stand means “to establish”

KEY QUESTION: Have you personally reckoned the significance of what it means to have direct access to the Creator of the world?

The Value of Tribulation 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

The Value of Tribulation “Men will never be great in theology until they are great in suffering” - Charles Spurgeon

KEY POINT #2 Tribulation teaches the believer to endure and trust God for his outcome

The Value of Tribulation The word experience means “proven”. Waiting on God will prove things out in us and make us “experienced”

The Value of Tribulation Experience produces hope – hope and evidence produce faith Hebrew 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

KEY POINT #3 True hope is born as people grow accustomed to God working through hard situations.

The Value of Blood 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

The Value of Security 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. 11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

Zephaniah  1:14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. 15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, 16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. 17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land

The Value of Security In scripture, the Day of Wrath or the Second Advent, is a direct reference to the day that God comes back to judge the world. Rev 6:12-17; Rev 19:11-21 “Does our justification have an expiration date?” “Are we susceptible to the same wrath that God promises the lost?” – NO!

KEY POINT #4 Justification is perpetual, it covers us now and in the future. Eph 4:30

The Value of Security 1 Thes 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

The Value of Security 1 Thes 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

KEY POINT #5 It is in God’s Nature to protect and deliver those he calls his Children from his personal wrath.
