Example: Gathering Info – Programs University Program School/ Campus OUAC Program Code Admission Requirements Degree Program Features Business Administration and Financial Mathematics Laurier/ Waterloo UBF OSSD, High 80s, ENG4U, ETS4U or EWC4U at 70%; MHF4U at 70%; MCV4U at 60%. A combined minimum average of 80% is required in the math courses. BBA/BA Co-op, double degree Business Administration (Honours) UB OSSD, mid to high 80s, One of ENG4U, ETS4U or EWC4U at 70%; MHF4U at 70%; one of MCV4U or MDM4U at 60%. BBA

University Application Process December – January 11th (11:59 pm) You’ll receive your PIN from Guidance (once you’ve completed the My Blueprint Exit Survey) Visit www.ouac.on.ca – select ‘OUAC 101’ 3 program choices in ranked order PIN, student number, RHSS school # 938009 Complete mailing address Payment format (credit card strongly recommended) - $150 for 3 choices; $50 for each additional choice Application deadline: January 114h Use an appropriate email that you check regularly!

University Applications – New for 2017 Applicants will pay for all program choices If an applicant drops a choice and replaces it with a new choice, the new choice will incur a $50 charge (unless it is at the same university)

Mark Transmissions Make sure your transcript is up-to-date and accurate Electronically (we take care of it)

Offers of Admission Offers may begin as early as Feb/March for strong candidates May 26 – majority of applicants will receive a response from Ontario universities (conditional offer of admission, refusal, deferral) Must confirm through www.ouac.on.ca June 1 – earliest date by which Ontario universities require a response to an offer of admission and a financial commitment Check email regularly (even SPAM folder)!!!

English Language Requirements In Canada less than 5 years, may be required to write an English Language Proficiency Test (i.e. TOEFL) Application will not be considered until test results have been received Research now (test dates, locations, times) Online practice test

OSAP Financial assistance (it is a loan) Based on financial need (income + assets) Can begin to apply in late April/early May: http://www.ontario.ca/education-and- training/how-get-osap Must wait until you have received an offer of admission and have a student number from the post secondary school to apply If accepted, you receive half the money at the start of the school year, and the remainder during the school year

Ontario Student Grant Apply for the Ontario Student Grant Criteria: parents earn less than $50,000 per year will be studying full time will be attending a publicly assisted college or university meet the eligibility requirements for OSAP

Important Dates (2016-2017) Sept 23-25: Ontario Universities Fair (Metro Toronto Convention Centre) Oct 15-16: Student Life Expo (Metro Toronto Convention Centre) Nov 2 Pathways in Motion at RHSS Campus Tours/Open Houses – ASAP Nov/Dec: start applying to university programs Jan 11: Application deadline to OUAC Feb 3: last date to submit information and changes to OUAC

Important Dates (2015-2016) April/May: apply for OSAP and the 30% tuition grant May 26: majority of applicants will receive a response from Ontario universities (conditional offer of acceptance, refusal, deferral pending further information) June 1: earliest date by which Ontario universities require a response to an offer of admission and a financial commitment August: you are responsible for submitting summer school marks to OUAC August: tuition payment
