What is it like? Bowles is a unique venue where young people can be inspired.  They will be challenged yet safe, and cared for whilst having the independence.

Capel Manor Camp Thursday 16th June 2016

How will things work? Children should arrive at school at normal time on Thursday 16th June. They should NOT be in school uniform. Kit should be in a sports type holdall or other soft luggage bag. Bedding should be in a named bin liner so beds can be laid out without the need for unpacking. All medication (including creams) – prescribed or otherwise, should be handed to Miss Gordon or Miss Dundas on arrival at school.

The Kit You should have all received a kit list before half term. All children need: A full change of clothes A sleeping bag, blanket and foam roll mat (yoga mats are fine) Waterproof jacket and trousers Torch Toothbrush Electronic items such as mobile phones, iPads, Kindles etc are not permitted and, if brought, will be locked in the school for the duration of the camp.

Sleeping Arrangements Children will sleep in groups of 5 or 6 in a canvas tent at the far end of the field. Sycamore and Elm children will sleep separately. Boys and girls will sleep separately. Adults will sleep in separate tents, which will be spread out between the childrens’ tents. If the children need to use the toilet during the night, an adult will accompany them to the school building.

Friday 17th June School is closed for an INSET day. All children will have breakfast at school. All children should be collected from the field at 9.00am. If your child will be leaving with another parent, or walking home unaccompanied please provide consent for this in writing.
