Extended Task: Can you circle the adjectives (describing words) in red, the nouns (naming words) in blue and the verbs (action words) in yellow? One day I walked home from school and heard a strange noise in my house. It was coming from under the staircase! We have a cupboard under the stairs full of old boots, big raincoats and lots of cobwebs! I crept closer to the cupboard. I heard a snuffling sound. What was it? I peeked inside the cupboard and underneath a green blanket was a crocodile! It was eating a red wellington boot! My mum does not want half eaten boots in our house so I had to think of a way to sneak the crocodile outside. I ran to the fridge and grabbed some ham. I made a trail of juicy ham pieces all the way to the kitchen door. Then I waited to see what the crocodile would do next. . .
