General Meeting October 6th 2014

Sorry Hello everyone. I am sorry that I am unable to be here today I had academic engagements that I have to attend so I have another member standing in my place. If you have any questions about todays meeting please email me! Thank you! Mara Thompson

New E-BOARD Members! Yay! Please stand, say who you are and what position you will be obtaining! There are 10 people in attendence New E-BOARD Members! Yay!

Attendance Per the Constitution voting members are to be at every ESC meeting! Unless your attendance is excused. A voting member is any organization’s representative, committee member, E-Board, MUSG representative, etc If you have more than two unexcused absences you lose your voting rite for any kind of election, your org is then not in good standing with the council/college and will be contacted. I know that many are not aware of the constitution and its rules so next meeting we will be going over it.

Engineering Day Annex has still not gotten back to us. We will have a date for you all as soon as possible. IT WILL BE IN NOVEMBER! If you are an ESC member that would like to help us with running this please raise your hand! Also you can contact Kelly, VP of Student Affairs! Kelly. Molinaro@mu.edu 5-8 PM bowling on a monday

Engineering Day All organizations will be contacted by Emilie Choices are: Have a morning treat with coffee for all engineers. This will run from 8am-12pm. Run a professional Event at some point during the day. Run a philanthropy event for the whole day. Have a social activity in the afternoon/early evening. Have an event of their choice that they would like to come up with on their own. Help us with the Annex Night. All orgs MUST participate. If they do not get back to Emilie with what they would like to do by the 12th an event will be assigned to them. You may work together with other organizations to run an event. Will e-mail these people in orgs.

October 24th! Academic Integrity

First ever, will be in Pittsburgh First ever, will be in Pittsburgh. I am allowed to bring one person with me if interested. We will be paying for travel expenses. Contact me by October 10th if interested! (See Word Doc attached for dates.) 2014 ELS Leadership Summit

Organizations Email me with your organization updates by 5pm the day of the General Meeting. EWB and ASME You will be our organization “show case” at our next meeting. Please send me any slides that you will need to help with this. I ask that you have at least a 5 minute presentation showing ESC what your organization is, what you do during the year, etc!

EWB! October 25th, silent auction, 30 items, $10 at the door. Speaker from peace corps, alumni of Marquette, talking to EWB this week at their meeting. BMES tomorrow at 8 PM in Olin 120, planning design competition. ASME meeting tomorrow at 7 pm in the DLL.
