Peoplesoft in Admissions Recommend using Chrome browser Explorer usually works, but if something doesn’t seem quite right, try Chrome Search/Match Always use Search/Match in Campus Community before entering a new person in Peoplesoft Don’t rely solely on name matches because some names converted incorrectly % is the wildcard character for Search/Match When searching for a country, type the country name in the Description box When searching a 5 digit ID number, both 5 and 6 digit ID numbers will display in the results Records can’t be merged in Peoplesoft 

Peoplesoft in Admissions Peoplesoft works most efficiently when students use the Online Admissions Application (OAA) to submit an application All applicants (except DE and CE) need to complete an OAA (includes Applied Not Enrolled and Readmits) Manual (paper) applications will not be refused, but require data entry by the advisors/specialists Most online applications are automatically admitted and matriculated (not bachelor’s or international) Students automatically receive Checklists for outstanding items

Peoplesoft in Admissions Students are automatically put into groups based on responses to OAA questions Service Indicators are automatically initiated as appropriate The program/plan stack is generated as part of the matriculation process After matriculation, a sequence of other processes run that term activate, set enrollment appointments, and prime the audits

Peoplesoft in Admissions Degrees earned at Daytona State are not seen in External Education or on the Admissions tab of the Student Services Center Daytona State degrees are located in Records & Enrollment -> Graduation -> Student Degrees Campus Community/Comments – used to explain unusual situations Administrative Function = GEN Comment Categories AGEN – General ATRANS – Transcripts ARES – Residency ABACH – Bachelor’s AINTL – International
