Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Rev 7/16

What is MESA? MESA is changing the face of science, technology and engineering by creating and developing a new generation of STEM leaders. Our programs fuel diversity by propelling historically underrepresented groups towards STEM degrees and professional careers. We bridge classroom learning with real-world applications, and employ rigorous academics, leadership preparation, a peer community and collaborative problem-solving training to produce highly-skilled graduates who meet the STEM industry’s workforce needs.

The Need for MESA In California: An estimated 3 million college-educated workers will retire between 2005 and 2025. California has almost 900,000 STEM jobs, expected to increase to 1.1 million —or 19% —by 2018.
