Jaywalking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJlY9C7YWzI On your Bell Ringer sheet, write down the answer to all of the questions that Jay Leno asks the people in the video. Then count how many you got right and how many you got wrong.

The Citizenship Test As per the District policy you will be taking the United States Citizenship test. You will be required to pass the test in order to graduate High School. The District will be issuing the test in early November. What all does the Citizenship test entail? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROuyKYF8Yjo

Kahoot! Grab your phones, log in to Kahoot.it, and get ready to see what the citizenship test is like….kinda.

“Why Civics is About More Than Just Citizenship” Pick up the Article from the cart/table While reading through the article do the following: Underline anything you find interesting Circle anything you don’t understand Square anything you agree/disagree with This will be important for the discussion part of the activity, where you will be graded on participation!

Discussion Questions Should students be required, for graduation, to take and pass a Civics test? Why do you think so many states have decided to create and pass these types of laws? After reading the article, do you believe states should continue this pattern?
