Building champions in competition, in the classroom, and in life Mission Building champions in competition, in the classroom, and in life

Team Goals Represent Colleyville Heritage High School with class and sportsmanship at all times. Be the team others measure themselves against. No zeros. Score points in every event. Represent CHHS at Regional and State Competition. Have FUN.

Objectives for Track & Field Athletes 1. To get an education 2. To give your total effort in practice and competition 3. To be loyal to your school, coaches, teachers, teammates, and family 4. To be prompt and dependable

Objectives for Track & Field Athletes 5. To be one of the best multi-sport athletes at Colleyville Heritage High School http://changingthegameproject.com/the-perils-of-single-sport-participation/ http://www.freep.com/story/sports/columnists/jeff-seidel/2015/06/20/michigan-jim-harbaugh-aerial-assault-camp/29042443/ http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/soccer/2015/07/03/abby-wambach-morgan-brian-lauren-holiday/29665797/ http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaab/2015/03/23/ncaa-tournament-multi-sport-athletes-pat-connaughton-willie-cauley-stein-ron-baker/70332602/

Objectives for Your Coaches 1. To treat you with respect and be honest with you 2. To provide the leadership and training necessary to achieve goals 3. To assist you in any way possible now and after you graduate 4. To make decisions as to what is best for the team, and then what is best for the individual 5. To do everything within our power to improve our program, make our program the BEST

Typical Daily Schedule AM – distance practice with Coach Carter 4:15 – 4:30 TEAM Warm-Up Boys – West (w/ Coach A) Girls – East (w/Coach Wilson) 4:30 – 5:00 - Work-Out (w/ specific event coaches) 5:00 – 5:15 - Cool Down / Stretch (We will practice everyday)

Spring Break We will have practice over Spring Break. (Times TBA) Distance runners will have a meet.

Injuries Tell your coach. Go see the trainers. We have two excellent trainers. Report back to your coach with what the trainers told you to do.

Meets All help set up Team Camp. Warm-Up as a team. For us - not your friends or other teams For competition preparations. Warm-Up as a team. Be at the event area at the right time. Cool down after the competition. Cheer for teammates. All help clean up and load bus.

Lettering Policy Score 10 points in Varsity competition. Lettering - to reward those athletes who were integral parts of team success by contributing the following: 1. Attitude - Willing to sacrifice individualism for good of the team. 2. Ability - Contributed in both practice and competitions at the Varsity level. 3. Conduct - type of person that coaches, parents, faculty, and community will be proud to be a representative of CHHS. 4. GPA - Must have passing grades. Score 10 points in Varsity competition.
