Online Registration Will be done at home Open February 3, through February 16, 2017 Go to www.strongnet.org Click on Grades in the upper right corner Log into your PowerSchool account Click class registration Click in the box to select your classes. Don’t forget to click Okay after each class. English and Math electives will be under electives Click submit after all classes have been selected

Online Registration - Continued See anyone in guidance for login information If you do not see the class you would like, it could be because the teacher did not recommend you for the class or you did not complete the prerequisites, failed a class, want to retake it, look for it in electives If none of these are true, see your guidance counselor for help. Remember February 16th is the last day to register

Things to remember when selecting courses: It can be very hard to change electives after the schedule is created. Classes can only be dropped during the first 3 days of the semester A parent note is needed to drop/change courses After the 3 days, level changes must be initiated by the teacher You must have a plan for making up failed courses

Scheduling Do’s & Don’ts: DO look at YOUR History DON’T select courses based on friends DO look at your ability – realistically DON’T select “easy” courses DO look at your future plans DON’T expect to be able to easily change your electives next year

Keys to a Successful Year… Become an “Active Studier”… 1. “Reading Over Notes” does NOT work 2. Must make note cards or flashcards 3. Review often and out loud 4. Make Lists of materials to review 5. Moving around while studying can help 6. Check Teacher Websites 7. Ask for help from parents, teachers, & friends. Keys to a Successful Year…
