Tuition-Free Community College Classes Career and College Promise - Dual Enrollment Courses at Wake Tech - (Juniors and Seniors) Career and College Promise, or CCP, allows eligible high school students to take college courses at Wake Tech. It’s sometimes referred to as dual enrollment. These courses can be transferred to any 4 year college in the state! In order to participate in CCP at Wake Tech, the first step is for the student and a parent/guardian to attend a mandatory information session at Wake Tech the semester before they plan on taking courses. Without attending this information session, the student will not be able to participate in the program. The student and parent will receive important information and required documents/forms at this session. The link below shows the next available sessions: goo.gl/foZjiH

Advanced Placement Credits ECU - goo.gl/tkbFhO NC State - goo.gl/eDDtSL UNC Chapel-Hill - goo.gl/68s4v4 UNC Charlotte - goo.gl/JDHTrT Wake Tech - goo.gl/9pneKX

University Transfer pathway at Wake Tech Wake Tech’s College/University Transfer programs are designed for students who wish to earn an associate’s degree and transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a bachelor’s degree. The programs offer general education courses as well as elective courses in areas of interest.  Wake Tech – Transfer Pathways - goo.gl/3lvc06

ASVAB – Career Exploration Program ASVAB Career Exploration Program -Oct 11th - PreACT Day The ASVAB Assessment (Career Exploration Program) will be given at Apex High School on October 11th, 2016 at 7:25 AM. This is the only free opportunity to test aptitude in different Career Areas that we have available. October 11th is the perfect day for juniors and seniors to take the ASVAB because we will already be on a modified bell schedule for the administration of the PreACT (previously known as PLAN) for 10th graders. The score on this assessment can be used for military entrance, but even if the student has no plans/desire to go into the military, the information you get from the results is a valuable resource in career planning for every student. I am going to generate a report for each student who takes it with their aptitude scores, Holland codes for interests, and which careers match those interests and skill-sets! The students can sign up with this (cap-sensitive) link or in student services: goo.gl/RoriwB

NC College Application Week

In-State vs. Out-of-State Tuition ECU’s site gives some great info as an example : goo.gl/5lf2qO The residence of a person is presumed to be that of the parent(s) or legal guardian. In order for a person to be considered separate or apart from their parents, they must have the capacity of establishing a legal residence (domicile) in North Carolina on their own.
