Who We Are Fees Tournaments The Minnesota Vortex/Minnesota A’s are a premier fastpitch softball club that is based in the Minneapolis West Metro.  The primary objective of the Vortex/A’s program is to provide our version of the best possible fastpitch softball experience.  We provide a high level of play and instruction, as well as a consistently challenging and FUN experience for our players. We are committed to providing excellent coaching and player development in a fun environment. The Minnesota Vortex provides the opportunity for year-round development and training, while recognizing the importance of creating well rounded, confident athletes and citizens.  During the primary softball session our  Minnesota Vortex players make softball their priority sport.  Our off-season work consists of individual instruction, clinics, dome ball and team  practices,  but also takes into consideration ’ second sport athletes and other community-based commitments.   We also believe in giving back to the community. This year the Vortex/A’s organization came together to pack 32,832 meals at Feed My Starving Children. Who We Are Fees The Minnesota Vortex/A’s believes we provide a great value. Fundraising opportunities will be available to reduce the cost for our families. 2017/2018 fee structure Once offer is accepted: $550 will be due 10 payments of $195 due 9/1/17 through 6/1/18. The Vortex program has consistently produced high level ball players who have gone on to play at dozens of colleges.  We are proud of our alumni!   Last year marked a first for the program.   The Big Ten freshman of the year Maddie Houlihan, the Minnesota Gatorade Player of the year, Carlie Brandt and Ms Minnesota Softball Katelyn Kemmetmueller all wore the Minnesota A's jersey! Several other Vortex / A's players were also nominated and were finalists for both the Gatorade and Ms Minnesota Awards, making the Minnesota A's / Vortex program well represented for the highest honors in the State! Tournaments The Minnesota Vortex/A’s play in the most competitive tournaments. The coaches make tournament and travel decisions in the best interest of their players. Typically the younger teams stay regional and the older teams will travel across regions.  The Minnesota A’s 2000 team off a successful 2016/2017 season attending top college showcase tournaments in Kansas, Nevada, Illinois, and Pennsylvania  A’s/Vortex players packing meals together at Feed My Starving Children.
