TIPS IN TEACHING POETRY

Description This lesson will serve as a guide on how to teach poetry.

Objectives Familiarize some tips on how to teach poetry in different ways. Know different techniques that can help in the learning process of the students.

Teachers must be equipped with different strategies to be utilized in teaching Poetry.

Tips in Teaching Poetry Allow students to enjoy reading poems aloud first before analyzing them. Allow students to create poetry using magnetic poetry boards.

Tips in Teaching Poetry Allow students to record themselves (either on audio or video) reading poetry aloud. Take a nature walk.

Tips in Teaching Poetry Create a “POET-TREE” in your room. Allow students to perform “Poetry Plays.”
