What strategies do you use to solve word problems?

Question - Q Write what the problem wants you to solve for “What is the problem asking?”

Information - I Write the information that you have plus the units

Formula - F Determine the formula that you need by looking at the equation sheet and write it down

Rearrange - Ra Does the formula need to be rearranged? If yes, rewrite the formula to solve for the question (“unknown”)

Calculate - C Write the formula you will use Plug in the numbers with their units Calculate the problem in your calculator Write down the answer with units!
