(generic curricula, open courseware, On line courses, vernacular training material) To support PSBs to fulfill their public service functions? (other than putting efforts on legislations) To orient PSBs towards public service? (PSB web sites Parliamentary Broadcasts, Best programme practices.

Promoting access through community media, specially for women and youth Results Community access to information and communication increased specially in Africa Dedicated access for women and youth What we can do best? To introduce community radio/TV into new countries? To upscale community access projects? To increase participation of youth and women in community access projects?

Supporting content diversity Results Quality content production from developing countries increased International distribution enhanced Media content to support MDGs intensified What can we do best: To help increase quality and diversity of local TV productions? To help market local content internationally? To enhance/brand UNESCO E-platform as a major exchange and quality instrument? To ensure training is meaningfully leading to quality content productions? To support/promote specialized content producers?

Fostering media pluralism Results Media pluralism expanded IPDC’s role and effectiveness reinforced What we can do best? To develop projects with a sector wide programme based approach? To lead partnerships for communication development? To improve the implementation of recommendation from the five regional seminars? To heightened the awareness of IPDC’s role? To have quality IPDC projects (instead of quantity) IPDC has implemented 117 projects in 70 Countries including 27 Regional projects. Nearly 3 million US dollars. Statistically we spend more funds per country through IPDC rather than through RP. Quality of the project have improved. We need more tightened quality control Projects are submitted through you and the responsibility of quality lies with you -Fewer projects with clear results and impacts - :Local partnerships for fund raising

Models for collaboration between teacher training institutes and PSBs developed? What we can do best To negotiate and support teacher training institutes to use PSBs to offer teacher training?
