STEPS 1 AND 2 STEP 1 Go outside & identify trees that can be come “Christmas Rainbow Trees” With the children wrap 1 layer of red crepe paper around the tree, then 1 layer of green & so on until the tree is covered to halfway Tape together Continue this twisting motion with other colours such as dark green or silver STEP 2 Wrap 1 layer of gold in a twisting motion around the layers starting form the top & working downwards For a weather proof option use coloured rope as an alternative to crepe paper WWW.KARMAKIDSGROW.COM.AU COPYRIGHT 2015 KARMAKIDS GROW

STEPS 3 AND 4 Herb Hessian Bags make really great décor for your classroom, front desk or reception area STEP 3 Choose herbs from your garden to plant such as basil & rosemary STEP 4 Gently scrape off some of the leaves at the bottom end of stem Take the stem & put the scraped end into the soil in the bag Wear a mask & gloves Using a trowel fill hessian bags ¾ full with organic soil WWW.KARMAKIDSGROW.COM.AU COPYRIGHT 2015 KARMAKIDS GROW

STEP 5 Go back inside, wash hands with soap & water Using either red, green, gold ribbon or string tie up the bags with herbs inside Make a neat bow for decoration Create a ‘Christmas Table’ that can provide families with gifts of fresh herbs Water using either a teaspoon to pour water inside bag or run bottom of bag under a tap , place a tile under bags after watering to catch any drops WWW.KARMAKIDSGROW.COM.AU COPYRIGHT 2015 KARMAKIDS GROW
