Information for Pupils

Duty of Care Staff in school have a responsibility to look after you – both physically and emotionally. During a normal week, you each spend at least 36 hours in school. If there is a change in your behavior / appearance / mood it can sometimes indicate you need to talk to someone.

Keeping Our Pupils Safe Form Teacher. Pastoral Period. Year Councilor. F.S.E.S. – for example Streetbeat and Achieve NI.

Cause for Concern Referral made – for example Form Teacher, Councilor, family member, friend Conversation with Councilor and/or Head of Year. Support put in place. Monitor the situation.

Safeguarding Serious concern reported. Key people: Ms. Blair – Designate Teacher for Child Protection Mr. Smith and Mr. Carlisle – Deputy Designated Teachers for Child Protection

What can you do? Look out for each other. Offer support. Tell a member of staff. Don’t ignore it.
