Foundation Year – How to succeed this year? 17/09/2013 Foundation Year – How to succeed this year? Need to pass every module by attaining 40% or over at first attempt to proceed automatically to your named programme awards. Progression Forms: No need to go through UCAS again to progress to a UWE degree programme. You will be asked near the end of Semester 1 (December) to fill in a progression form. Massive correlation between attendance and attainment. Some modules you will fail if you miss classes. i.e. assessment within the timetabled class. The foundation programme is modular, as all UWE courses are . Module leaders lead the modules and will provide you with information on assessment of their module. Course code confusion – whether you applied for G100 or H100 or other degree programmes you will have been placed by UWE on level 0 of H110, BSc Engineering or G110, BSc Mathematics for student loan/ funding issues . Do not worry you may progress into your chosen degree if you meet the progression criteria.

Use your UWE email address You will receive constant advice wrt your timetable, inc. new/ changed classes, room changes, staff etc. Staff and Admin will communicate to you via your UWE email. Can you login to UWE ? You need a username and password to access various information systems in UWE and from home. MyUWE, BlackBoard, email, downloadable free software, advice etc. Always have these on you or learn them.
