Who was St. Patrick? At first he was called Maewyn Succat He was kidnapped by pirates when he was sixteen He escaped and he turned into Christianity with the name of Patrick. He turned into Christianity to a lot of Irish people All the snakes in Ireland were drove to the sea and drowned by St. Patrick.

Symbols The Shamrock: St. Patrick used it to explain the concept of the trinity (Father – Son - Holy Spirit) Blarney Stone: This stone is kissed by people on St. Patrick’s day because it gives good luck. Leprechauns: They are little fairies dressing in green. They are shoemakers and if you listen the sound of their hammers and you find a leprechaun, you can force them to reveal you where their treasure is. Green: Irish people wear green because if you don’t do it you will be pinched by other people.
