Famous baseball players of the 30’s and 40’s Mell ott Jimmie Foxx

Mel ott Mell ott was born on March 2, 1909, in Gretna, Louisiana. He played for the New York Giants in the 1930’S and 1940’s . He also he was the manger for the New York Giants at one time. In his carrier he hit 511 home runs and he hit 2,876 balls. He batted lefty and threw righty. One of the biggest awards there team won was the World Series in 1933. He was the youngest player to hit 100 home runs. He played every position but he mostly played out field. He died on November 21, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana at age 49.

Hank Greenberg Hank Greenberg was born on January 1, 1911 in New York. He played for two teams the Detroit tigers and the Pittsburgh pirates. He played in field. One of the biggest awards his team won was the word series 2 once in 1935 and once in 1945. he died on September 4 ,1986 in Beverly hills, California at the age of 75.

Jimmie fox Jimmie Foxx was born on October 22, 1907 in Sudlersville, Maryland. He played for the Chicago cubs, Philadelphia Phillies, and the Philadphia Athletics. He played from the 1925 -1945. he hit 2,646hits and 534 home runs. One of the biggest awards his team ever won was the world series they twice once in 1929 and once in 1930. he played pitcher just little but the rest of the time he played out field. He died on September 23,1945 , in Miamian Florida.
