1 What is an advertisement? An advertisement provides information and uses persuasive language and exciting images to encourage people to buy a product or service or believe in an idea.

By using persuasive language and exciting images Billboards, newspapers, magazines, the Internet, radio, and television are the most common places to find advertisements.
