NISOD Awards This award program was established in 1989 by the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development to support colleges in recognizing their finest administrators and faculty. This prestigious award recognizes excellence in teaching, positive interactions and dialogue with students and professional peers and a commitment to the mission and philosophy of their college.

Professor Emeritus Awards Emeritus Status may be awarded by the ECC Board of Trustees to those retired faculty members, librarians, and counselors who have demonstrated excellence in teaching, provided direct assistance to students, and contributed to the development of the college throughout their years of service; and those retired administrators who have demonstrated excellence in performing the responsibilities of their office, held a leadership role within the college during their tenure, provided direct assistance to students, and contributed to the development of the college throughout their years of service.

SUNY Chancellor’s Awards For Excellence No higher honor can be accorded a faculty member or administrator than the prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence. This award recognizes both outstanding performance and significant contributions to institutional quality, as identified by one’s peers. This year’s honoree joins a long list of current and former ECC faculty and staff as recipients of this prestigious award. Honorees receive a medallion and certificate from SUNY, and a professional development award from the ECC Foundation.
