BORDERS One of my aunts lives in Paris, the capital of France. France is my favourite country and borders Italy, Spain, Austria, Germany and Switzerland.

There are 15,000-foot mountains in the Alps and valleys with vineyards and coasts on the French Riviera along the Mediterranean Sea. The diversity of its regions have long appealed to visitors who've made France the most popular tourist destination in the world.

WEATHER The strict oceanic climate is located in the west of France. The south climate is also oceanic but warmer. The climate of the north-west is oceanic but cooler. Away from the coast, the climate is always oceanic but its characteristics change a little. In Paris the climate becomes a little stronger, in autumn it rains and in winter it may snow. Therefore, most of the french territory has a different type of climate.

PEOPLE French people descend from diverse types of people, such as of Celtic origin, later mostly mixing with people of Italic and Germanic origin. Today, all these people speak modern French.
