Now , it is Sunday Morning! From an agonizing Friday, Now , it is Sunday Morning!

Come see where they laid Him. He is Not Here… Come see where they laid Him.

Come See Matt. 28:1-20 Go and Teach

Verse 1: In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. When? Dawning toward the lst day of the week. Friday is over…now it is Sunday! Who? Mary Magdalene and the other Mary Why? To see the sepulchre.

verse 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. What happened? A great earthquake Angel from heaven descended from Heaven. What did the angel do? He came and rolled back the stone from the doorThe Angel sat upon …the huge stone .. See Him!

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. How is the angel described? His countenance was like lighting his raiment white as snow. What happened? The keepers ,for fear of him, did shake and became as dead men!

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Who spoke? The Angel. To whom? The women (Mary Magdalene and the other Mary) What did he say to them? Do not be afraid. I know that you are seeking Jesus, which was crucified. 1. He is not here. 2. He is risen as he said. 3. Come, see the place where the Lord lay

Trying to get men and women to “come see” ..leave and teach

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. What were they to do? Go .quickly…don’t waste any time… 1. Tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead. 2. Jesus is going before you. 3. The disciples shall see him. 4. You can be assured that this is right: lo, I have told you!

8 And they(Mary Magdalene and the other Mary) departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. How did Mary Magdalene and the other Mary respond? a) They departed quickly from the sepulchre b) They were bundled up with fear and great joy. c) To go and tell them quickly was believed: “They did run to bring his disciples word. Jesus is Risen from the Dead!!

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. a) Mary Magdalene and the other Mary are running. b) Guess who they meet? JESUS MET THEM. C) Words are so important: Listen to them: Jesus said: All hail. How did they respond? 1. They came and held him by the feet. (In his new body,Jesus retained feet.) 2. They worshipped him.

And there shall they see me! 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me. What wonderful news! What a mission..”go” and tell my brethren: They are to go into Galilee And there shall they see me!

11 Now when they (watchers keeping the grave) were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.(Go lie! & here is your money) 14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. (If this is heard by the governor..we will persuade him,and secure you.) 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. But some doubted: Are you a Doubter?

Some of the first words to the disciples: Go: Teach: Baptizing them. Teach. And I will be with you always… 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The book of Matthew closes with these words…Go.. get up and go.. Teach.. Tell Baptize..immerse Teach. Keep telling others what I have told you. I will be with you always… How can I doubt these words of Jesus. I truly want to serve Jesus. What does Jesus want me to do? I Must ‘come and see” and “go and teach”

It is Now Sunday Morning… The victory over death has been accomplished by Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And you and I can have that victory…we can win this Fight. We can be faithful till death. Rev.2:10; 2 Tim. 4:7,8

Like Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were told… Come see where he laid. Like His disciples are told, “Go teach…and I will be with you.. O’Neal..We must listen . Since we Believe in Jesus, we need to arise and Tell the lost about the Savior.
