What is a Dictionary? A dictionary is a book full of words and their meanings. The back of the dictionary contains maps, an atlas, lists, measurements, and a thesaurus

Organization Alphabetical Order Guide words are at the top of each page to help you find the words

Guide Words The first word on a page and the last word on a page Example: If you were looking for cucumber, it would be on the page with the guide words “crystal – cuff”
