Statement of Purpose Depending upon the program, can also be called statement of interest, research interests, or statement of intent. A statement of purpose is where you tell the admissions committee why you are interested in a particular graduate program, the kind of work you plan to complete, and why you are a good fit for the program. Describe your research interests – reference the particular school in which you are applying. Tailor your statement of purpose to each school in which you apply.

Resume/Curriculum Vitae A Curriculum Vitae (CV) is a longer synopsis of your educational academic background as well as teaching research experience, publications, awards, presentations, honors and additional details. A resume is a brief summary of your experience, education, and skills. The difference – a CV is long, a resume is short. CV covers your entire career, a resume is highly customizable.

Application Graduate school applications are almost always online. Medical school applications can have general apps which apply to multiple schools.
