CPO evening 2016 Shiffa and Nikita Presidents Teddy Bear Hospital CPO evening 2016 Shiffa and Nikita Presidents

Teddy Bear Hospital is an international project, whose aim is to reduce childhood anxiety about medical environments, procedures and professionals SGUL branch: run by a committee with over 400 ‘Teddy Bear Doctors’ which have a DBS completed and Child Protection certificate. Been running since March 2009. We use a creative and multi-sensory approach, which is inclusive for all children. Small group teaching in primary schools. Who we are

Clinics – generally every Wednesday from mid-October until mid- March in primary schools Fundraising bakesales – we support First Touch and GOSH Other events – Community day!! More information coming soon What we do

Clinics

Each ‘teddy doctor’ is allocated a station to teach to a small group of students who rotate around the stations Stations include scrubbing, asthma, surgery, safety in the home, ambulance, dentistry, healthy eating, x-ray and first aid (You will be briefed on the stations at the training day!) Attend our training day on the 11th October in MHLT at 5:30pm We will talk you through how the clinics are run (including stations), how to get your DBS sorted, child safeguarding FREE PIZZA! You get a ‘teddy doctor’ T-shirt and a child safeguarding certificate Subs = £15 How to get involved
