End of Year Notes for Seniors Code for: Listen, pay attention, and don’t be left behind. If not, you **MIGHT** not be recognized properly for the hard work you’ve completed during your high school years……

What We Need to Go Over As a Group: Senior Graduation Speakers Wanted…. Bright Flight---Anyone achieve in April? Right now, there are 12 of you to be recognized…..31 ACT composite or higher (3.03%) Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude recognition Senior End of the Year Survey---MUST BE COMPLETED BY MAY 3rd BY EVERYONE!

Senior Graduation Speakers WANTED Sign up in the HS Counseling Office by the END of TODAY Pick up a guide sheet with the “rules” and “expectations” 4.0 GPA or higher is the rule for auditioning/speaking Auditions and full speeches will be TOMORROW! You will be emailed an audition time by the end of the day.

Senior Graduation Speaker (Policy: INC) Selection of Student Speakers at Public Events It is a privilege for students to be allowed to speak at district-sponsored public events. All student speakers must be in good standing with the district, as defined by the district, in order to be eligible to speak. A student speaker may be required to submit a copy of his or her presentation for the purpose of determining whether it meets the intended purpose of the event and otherwise satisfies the rules established in this policy and other policies and procedures. Student speakers at public district events will be selected based on viewpoint-neutral criteria in accordance with law including, but not limited to, the following: 1. The district will select student speakers for graduation from among those graduates with the highest grade-point average, those with notable accomplishments or those who served as the senior class or student body president. 2. Student speakers for other public district or school events are limited to: Student government officers or candidates. Club and organization presidents. Team captains. Exchange students.

Cum Laude and Summa Cum Laude (Policy: IKC) It is POSTED outside of the HS Counseling Office. Double check your name if you feel you have earned it ! Seniors graduating with honors (cum laude or summa cum laude) must have met the following criteria: 1. Attended Ozark High School for four (4) full semesters at the time of graduation. 2. Not have taken a high school class pass/fail. 3. Maintained a 95 percent attendance rate. 4. Scored above the national average on the ACT. In addition, to earn the rank of cum laude, the student must have maintained a 3.85-3.99 cumulative G.P.A. for all eight (8) semester’s work and to earn the rank of summa cum laude, the student must have maintained a 4.0 cumulative G.P.A. for all eight (8) semester’s work. Distinctive honor graduate regalia includes gold tassels for both cum laude and summa cum laude graduates and a red/black entwined neck cord for summa cum laude graduates.

Graduation Survey—Page 2, MUST BE COMPLETED This is all the colleges you have applied to through the year…… IF YOU PLAN TO DO A+ WITH OTC OVER THE SUMMER, MAKE SURE TO ADD IT HERE. Look over your list, make sure it is CORRECT and RIGHT for you. If you are seeking employment, it will ask you what type of work you are planning on doing or where you plan to work. Military, it asks you what branch and specialization.

Graduation Survey---MUST BE COMPLETED Enter in ALL of your Scholarships *Academic *Performance *Athletic *LOCAL *ANYTHING you KNOW have won, put here! IF THEY ARE RENEWABLE, put the full amount for the time span. Example—MSU’s Board of Governor’s is $5000/year for 4 year span ($20,000)
