Work Experience Task 2

Present information from your 50 hours of placement Part 1: Evidence the placement At the end of task 1 you should have set out 3 objectives that you wished to achieve from completing the selected placement. e.g. to be able to set up and run a full session independently with the children in the session

Witness statement Please take and complete the witness statement. You can add any details about the placement and activities undertaken. Your supervisor at the placement (the one highlighted on the health and safety form) then needs to sign this off This needs to be handed in at the beginning of the presentation with the slides.

Diary / Log Dates Times Hours Activities undertaken – what planned activities did you have What other considerations did you have e.g. codes of practice, health and safety, equal opportunities Achievements - Relate this to your goals and objectives

Photographs / video clips Present these and explain what you were doing in the pictures

Part 2: Review the placement Identify your strengths (minimum of 3) What did you do well? Review how well you met your objectives set out earlier Why was each a strength – provide an explanation and detail using examples from your experience

Identify Weaknesses What did not go well? Review how well you met your objectives set out earlier For each area for improvement you should also explain this by provide detail using examples from your experience to support what you are saying You then need to make suggestions (minimum 3) relating to improvement. Be specific by saying exactly what you could do and how you will achieve this and by when For each for your suggestions you need to provide a rational as to why this is an appropriate and a justifiable suggestion. Provide reasons as to why each suggestion is an ideal way to allow you to develop. Consider practicalities e.g. fit around work/ college schedule and also skills experience that are personally relevant for you and your future
