Thank you to everyone for all your support this term. We wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas and New Year. See you in 2017. Our Reception children gave a very moving performance in their nativity. These children all achieved really well in their learning and behaviour throughout this term which resulted in them receiving the most ‘golds’ on the zone board. Limbrick News Diary dates: Friday 16th December – Last day of term, no After School Club Tuesday 3rd January – School reopens to all children, first day of Spring term Sunday 15th January – Deadline for applying for a place in Reception for September 2017 Thursday 26th January – Year 5 and Year 6 to Young Voices at the Genting Arena Eight of our KS2 children took part in a cross country competition against several local schools. The competition was held at Allesley Hall Primary School on Wednesday of this week. Well done to all who represented our school. Can I ask that all conversations between parents on the playground are appropriate for children's ears. As adults, it is important that adult topics are discussed away from children. Please ensure your children arrive at school on time. The bell goes at 8.55am. I will continue to focus on improving punctuality this academic year, as children arriving late not only affects their own learning but also disrupts the rest of their class. Children need to arrive at school between 8.45am and 8.55am, in order to undertake early morning work. Therefore we will continue to record poor punctuality. If children arrive after 8.55am, they will be recorded in the late book and their parents/carers will be asked to sign the late book and record the reason why. Mrs Devine will be closely monitoring children who are continuously late for school, offering support to those families who need it. If children are regularly late for school, then I will also ask parents/carers to attend a meeting with myself and the Children and Family First Team to address this issue more formally.
