Student will recognize errors in verb tense.

Today, you will be: Focus on recognizing verb tense shifts and correcting the errors to maintain the correct verb tense.

Verb Shift Remember verbs are time-telling words. They tell when the action takes place. We also want to remain consistent and use the same tense when we write or speak. Sudden verb shifts are confusing and incorrect.

Identify if there is a shift in verb tense in the underlined words Identify if there is a shift in verb tense in the underlined words.
