About the Online Booking System The CPD Online system will allow Carers to book training and check availability of courses. Carers will need to register on to the system - they will create a username and password. Carers can add themselves to waiting lists Carers can cancel places if they are unable to attend. Make sure you enter N in the are you employed by the Local Authority Please remember your username and password

Type Foster and select the team you work for In the establishment/organisation select keyword, type in foster care and then choose from the drop down list the team you foster for. I.e. EK1 Foster Care Team   In the Job Title box choose from the drop down list Foster Carer Type Foster and select the team you work for

Please tick the box Foster Carer

Carers will now be registered onto the CPD Online Booking System

Searching for course To find training courses carers can us: Key words such as Attachment Venues Towns Event codes which are located by the course on the Training Calendar Dates All training will be identified by the course title and followed with for “KCC Foster Carers”

Important If carers are no longer able to attend a training course is it important to cancel the booking. Carers can no longer cancel bookings by contacting the event admin or through the Fostering Social Worker It is the carers responsibility to cancel the place on the course if they fail to do so it will be recorded as none attendance and will be charged.   To Cancel a booking click “My CPD Online” page and “Cancel a Booking” carers are shown a list of bookings for upcoming events with the option to cancel a booking. Carers will be prompted to fill in a cancellation request and this will be sent to the event admin. To view the cancellation policy click on the ‘Cancellation Policy’ link, if you agree to this click the tick box at the bottom of the cancel request page
