9th Physical Science Week of May 09th – May 13th

Lab: Rock Correlation Puzzle Lab: Rock Correlation Puzzle (Complete) Video (time permitting) TRIP -- TWINS GAME Work Day – Several students on another trip. Testing: All morning 9th Grade Picnic all afternoon

LEARNING TARGETS I can compare the interaction of tectonic plates at convergent and divergent boundaries. I can explain atmospheric changes in Earth’s early history using evidence from rock sequences and fossils. I can explain how geologic evidence indicates climate changes have occurred during Earth’s history. I can explain how global climate is affected by the Earth’s composition and processes. I can explain how the Earth evolved into its present habitable form. I can analyze the mutual interaction between Earth’s systems and human activity. I can model the movement of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen through the lithosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and atmosphere.

Next Quiz/Test: :Monday May 16th   It will cover: Chapter 18 Know: Model movement of Carbon Know the percentage of Oxygen in atmosphere Know the cause(s) of global warming Know general information about the ecosystem Definition and properties of light Incandescence Photon White Light Electromagnetic Spectrum How the Earth was Made Video Worksheet Information
