Supplies Three Ring Binder with Dividers Pencils ( No pens allowed) Loose-leaf Notebook Paper (No spirals) TI-83 + Graphing Calculator (Algebra Class Only!) Centimeter Graph Paper Composition Notebook *Every day when you walk in the classroom, the get started assignment will be ready for you to begin! *DO NOT wait on me, the bell, or anyone else to start class! *You start this class!!!! *Discuss class rules and procedures (rules, consequences, rewards, everyday, cooperative group rules) *Assignment notebook for missed work! *Pass out restroom passes -Must be used along with agenda book -Two passes if you have both at the end of the nine weeks, turn them in for a homework pass! (show pass/explain) *Do a quick check with a neighbor to see if you understand. COOL!!!

Grading Policy Grades for each grading period will be calculated as follows: 10% (10 points) Classwork/Notebook 20% (20 points) Homework (Assigned daily) 30% (30 points) Quizzes (One or two day notice) 40% (40 points) Test (Announced well in advance) 20% Semester Exam The semester exam is 20% of the semester grade: 1st 9wks = 40%, 2nd 9wks = 40%, & Semester exam = 20% *You will have at least one test or quiz each week! *Notebooks will be checked once each nine weeks (before interims). *You will have one project each semester. (Don’t state in writing; possibly not aloud either)

Notebook (Three Ring Binder) Homework (graded for effort; date with date assigned) Warm-Up/Classwork/Class Notes Quizzes/Fantastic Five Test *All sections must be organized in chronological order. (Ex. 08/19/15-06/03/16) *KIN: “Keep In Notebook” *Cleaned out once each nine weeks. Wait for directions each nine weeks before cleaning out notebooks.

Make-Up Work for Absences ONLY! *If you are absent, your are to get the missed homework assignment from the homework website. *You have two days to make-up assignments. *Algebra = maximum of 20 days (school trips, etc) *Question: Where is the make-up work folder located??

Make-Up Work for ABSENCES Only! Absent for one day: The day that you return to school, the homework from the day before you were absent is due. Ex. You are present on Monday, absent on Tuesday, and return to school on Wednesday. Monday’s homework is due.

Make-Up Work for ABSENCES ONLY! Absent for more than one day: The day that you return to school, homework is due for the last day that you were in class. The day that you return to school, you are to do that night’s homework first. Remember that you have a two day grace period for make-up work. More time will be given for absences of three or more days.

Show your work for each step of the problem. Check to see whether your answer is reasonable. Be ready to explain how you solved the problems. *If you are absent, you are responsible for getting missed day(s) from a classmate. *Fantastic Five test count as a quiz grade (30%). DO THIS AS GET STARTED ON DAY#2 WHEN MORE STUDENTS HAVE THEIR COMPOSITION NOTEBOOKS!
