SAB Website Study Group Progress Report and Status Review Kathy Land, Claire Lohr and David Schultz, Nov 2005

Website Review All SAB sponsored standards committees have active websites. DASC, IASC, LMSC, LTSC, MMSC, PASC, S2ESC, SISO, SSSC, TTSC Format and content differ – do not support our standards development processes. Do we care? What can we learn? Received SAB direction to develop a proposal.

Web Vitality Suggestions

Consolidation Targets Single web resource for developers: Editor’s checklist Forms and templates Guide for standards developers Discussion forums for developers SAB development Portal Ballot pool: Sign up My Ballot Membership: Single point of capture

SAB Web Progress Drafted and approved a statement in support of the benefits associated with SAB and standards development. Developed and approved PIF in support of SAB portal environment. Developed Beta site, solicited review from sponsors. Received ‘buy in’ from IEEE IT, senior staff, and CS leadership.

The Next Step Form SAB Configuration Control Board (CCB) in support of web deployment with Claire and Dave as leads. Each Sponsor is being asked to appoint a member to the CCB – this is critical in meeting your requirements. CCB define timeline and identify content for the web site (implementation plan) Transition web site to IEEE IT Populate web site with content Deploy web site
