SURABHI About Surabhi: Vision: Surabhi Foundation Trust is an NGO established in August 2005, under Societies Act; for Capacity Building among the rural population aiming at Empowering the development of children and women in rural areas. Vision: Education Health Women Empowerment Environment SURABHI

Mission of our Trust: Education Global Warming To provide education to under privileged children aged between 6- 14. To conduct rural health camps and health awareness program. Creating awareness program for women rights and duties in rural and under privileged section of society. Taking care of Senior Citizens. Awareness about the environment, global warming to children aged between 10-15. Health awareness about adolescent for girl children. Senior Citizens Care Rural Health Camps

Lion Surabhi Old Age Home: “The Senior citizens are expecting a peaceful atmosphere to live in their old age. so, here we are creating and providing a simple and peaceful living atmosphere for them”. The Infrastructure has been provided by the Bangalore Airport city Lions Service Trust and it is managed by Surabhi Foundation Trust. Lions Surabhi Old Age Home is situated in Devarachikkanahalli Village, behind the Indian Institute of Management off Bannerugatta Road. This Old Age Home having three floor with 33 Rooms with attached bath rooms. We are providing pure vegetarian food, hot water facility, and weekly once medical checkup will be taken care by Doctor. Rooms are available in charity rates. Now 40 residents are taking benefits of this old age home.

Project Hongirana: It is Mainly focusing towards providing education to the Disadvantage children of age group 6-14 The objective of this project is giving the “compulsory education “ for out of school children. We are providing food, accommodation, education and health care for those children. We are teaching about “Etiquette” to those children . We are implementing this project in two places, they are Doddamavalli (in Bangalore) and Shikaripalya (near electronics city). The beneficiars are, Doddamavalli 22 boys+2 girls=24 Shikaripalya 15boys+13 girls=28

Project Chaitanya : (Home Based Education): This project is focusing the special children of age group between 6 to14, who all are physically and mentally challenged children. Our trained volunteers are providing service at the door step of such children. The services are, Giving awareness to the parents regarding disability of the child. Giving awareness of the Government support to the child like 1. Identity card 2. Disability Pension 3. Free travelling pass 4. Educational Scholarships 5. Getting Instrumental support from the government like, Hearing aids, wheel chairs, etc… Giving Physiotherapy facility for needy child.

Vocational Training Lions club of Bangalore Airport city and Lions Surabhi Old age Home jointly conducted poverty eradication programme at Lions Surabhi Old Age Home. Under this programme we have trained one batch of rural girls as Geriatric Nursing Assistants, and gave them placement also. Total Beneficiaries: 12 Girls Inauguration of the camp by Lions District Governor. JSS Director addressing the students.

Project Chiguru: (Early Childhood Care Education) This project mainly focusing on “Sibling Care and Initiation towards Education” Features of this project: Helps in motivation of sibling children. They make the children to feel secure and comfort. Providing medical assistance to the children Impact of this project is, the drop out percentage has been reduced. Parents are getting confidence and they are motivated to sending their children to the Schools. The comprehensive curriculum of this project with Kannada and English basics, definitely has helped the children joining the mainstream education.

Project Arivu: (Adolescent training) “Attainment of teenage is called Adolescent”. At this age each and every children having physical and mental changes within them. They started to face emotional imbalances in their life. With their ambitions they are starting to grow up beautifully. Here, we focusing them to choose a good path of their life. Features of this project: Awareness about the “Child Marriage” problems. Giving awareness of HIV. Teaching about disciplines. Giving awareness about the society and people. Personal hygiene at the time of puberty. We are tuning them to be a good citizen of our Nation.
