Do Fast Food Restaurants contribute to the overweight issue in Saudi Adult Females Bashayer Alsaleh 201100939

Overweight Label range of weight that is greater than what is generally considered healthy for a given height, leads to health problems (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2012).

Methodology Qualitative. Interviews: 10 Saudi women whose ages ranged between 18-25 years. Prince Mohammad University campus.

Literature Review Poor nutritional quality of food is served at fast food restaurants (French, 2001). Fast food restaurants provide several meal sizes to leave an option to the customers about how much to eat. Moreover, most fast-food restaurants provide variety of meals, some high in fat and some low in fat, and distribute their nutritional content (Buchholz, 2003).

Literature Review People are not ignorant or blind of what they put in their mouths (Buchholz, 2003).

Findings Most women have overweight issue All woman blamed fast food restaurant for their overweight issue, except Norah said: “I am a grown up woman; I would not blame anyone other than myself.” A woman reported that she can’t resist cheeseburgers. Most of them said that they eat their meals while watching TV or text on phones.
