COLLABORATIVE: SEE LIFE CLEARLY HMP ROCHESTER: Social Norms Project used to tackle the growing problem of NPS. Integrated pathway developed by internal stakeholders to deliver the following interventions: Health checks, Mindfulness, Thai Chi, confidential referral system through healthcare, peer leads, Animal adoptions. Number of clients asking for help with NPS increased by 400% JOINT WORKING WITH PARTNERS UNIT LEADS MULTI-DISCIPLINARY MEETINGS JOINT REVIEWS RAPt NEWSLETTERS SMT REPORTS ON INTRANET EXTERNAL TRAINING BLUE SKY

EXPERT: INTENSE DETOX PATHWAY TASKED TO CREATE A DETOX OPTION TO MIRROR COMMUNITY INPATIENT DETOXES. CLINICAL LEAD CREATED 14 DAY DETOX PATHWAY INVOLVING OST AND SYMPOTMATICS WITH INTENSE WRAP AROUND PSYCHOSOCIAL SUPPORT. SEEKING TRANSLATORS FOR CLIENTS PROMOTING THE WORK OF RAPt POSITIVE HMIP REPORTS CQC REGISTERED MANAGERS WINNING NEW CONTRACTS BASED ON PROVEN TRACK RECORD IMPLEMENTING FEEDBACK AND SUGGESTIONS FROM SERVICE USERS CREATING NEW TREATMENT OPTIONS BASED ON EVIDENCE.

COURAGEOUS: CASE STUDY: ISPP CLIENT WANTED REHAB AFTER PAROLE- APPLIED FOR FUNDING-REJECTED BY PANEL- AFTERCARE LEAD TOOK UP APPEAL- LIAISED WITH PROBATION AND RECOVERY SUPPORT- WORKED WITH SERVICE USER AND ATTENDED THEIR MEDICAL REVIEWS TO GET MEDICATION CHANGED AND DETOX COMMENCED. WON APPEAL & REHAB GAINED- CONTIUNED TO REPRESENT CLIENT WITH CASE MANAGER ONCE AT REHAB TO SUPPORT THEM WITH PRESENTING BEHAVIOURS AND ECNOURAGE THEM TO HELP HIM ADDRESS THEM RATHER THAN RECALL HIM BACK TO PRISON. CHALLENGING TIER FOUR APPLICATIONS REPRESENTING CLIENTS AT FUNDING PANELS RAISING ISSUES WITH PRISON SMT – REGIME RESTRICTIONS ETC ADVOCATING FOR CLIENT ON DETOX PROPOSALS SUPPORTING CLIENT WITH OTHER AGENCIES PUTTING THE CLIENT AT THE HEART OF YOUR WORK AND STRIVING FOR THE BEST FOR THEM

INNOVATIVE: OPEN PRISONS GROUPWORK RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS AND FEEDBACK OF CLIENTS, EAST SUTTON PARK HAVE REVIEWED AND UPDATED THEIR GROUP WORK PACKAGE TO INCLUDE: SELF CARE, GROUP THERAPY, HONESTY, RECOVERY COMMITMENT, ANGER, RECOVERY THINKING AND MANY MORE. CLIENTS CHOOSE WHAT THEY WISH TO DO AND PACKAGE FOR THE MONTH IS TAILORED TO WHAT THEY WANT. RECOVERY COMMUNITIES ADAPTING WORKING PRACTISES TO WORK WITHIN REGIME RESTRICTIONS AND ENSURE SERVICE IS MAINTAINED FOR CLIENTS. SHARING IDEAS WITH TEAMS RESPONDING TO CLIENT NEEDS AND ADAPTING PAPERWORK TO SUIT TRANSLATING MATERIAL INTO OTHER LANGUAGES BEING WILLING TO GIVE THINGS A GO
