Graduation Requirements C40 Diploma: IN Graduation Requirement “Opt Out” process for General Diploma C40 Biology and Algebra required for ALL Diplomas ISTEP MATH and ISTEP ENGLISH must be passed ISTEP SCIENCE participation only Additional requirements exist for both Honors Diploma & THD AHD (47 credits): In High School: A credit is the completion of 1 semester of work in a subject 4 yrs Math (8 credits) 3 yrs of World Language (6 credits) or 2 yrs of 2 different languages Fine Arts (2 credits) Technical Honors: (6 or more credits in career/technical program)

Core 40 with Academic Honors No grade within the 47 credits lower than a “C -” Minimum GPA of 3.0 Complete one of the following: 2 AP classes and corresponding exams 6 dual H.S./college credits (Ivy Tech/IU) 1 AP class with exam and 3 academic college credits 1750 combined SAT (No less than 530 on each section) 26 composite ACT score w/ writing Courses may be repeated. Both appear on transcript and are figured into GPA

Core 40 with Technical Honors Complete all requirements for Core 40 Earn a total of 47 credits Earn a “C -” or above in courses to count for graduation Have a “B” or above (3.0) GPA Complete 6 credits in a Career Pathway or 6 transcripted college credits Complete one of the following: Any one of the 5 options for Core 40 with AHD Earn the required scores or higher on WorkKeys Earn the required scores or higher on the Accuplacer Earn the minimum scores or higher on the Compass No World Language/Fine Arts credits required

INDIANA’S CORE 40 English 8 credits Math 6 credits--Starting with Algebra I Math or an equivalent course should be taken yearly while in high school Science 6 credits (*Biology) Social Studies 6 credits PE 2 credit Health 1 credit 5 directed electives from World Language, the arts, or career/technical. 8 other credits from any subject area = 42 total

Required Courses for Grade 9 English Math Science Recommended Electives in Social Studies and/or World Language P.E. (1 year) Circle courses on the selection sheet and transfer to the back of the sheet prior to computer entry

(Don’t miss this important event) January 18: Schedules Due (St. Charles) January 26: Schedules Due (Computer Entry/Tri-North ) January 27: Schedules Due (Computer Entry/Batchelor) January 30: Schedules Due Jackson Creek January 30: Schedules Due Project School NO CHANGES after schedules have been submitted except: *Changes needed to insure timely graduation (i.e. retaking a required course due to failure) *Mistakes made via data entry *A student is misplaced and does not have the required prerequisites
