Ancient Egypt life and Death in the Valley of the Kings Ancient Egypt: Life & Death in the Valley of The Kings BBC 2 2 x 1 Hour Documentaries with Egyptologist Dr Joann Fletcher Exploring the builders, architects and ordinary people behind the incredible monuments and how they prepared themselves for their own afterlife. Shot on the Canon C300 & Canon 5D.

Canon EOS C300 Digital cinema camera announced on November 3rd 2011 Offered with the EF and EF-S Lens mount (Electro Focus) which had been introduced in 1987 EF lenses are standard lenses mounted on Canon EOS cameras both SLR film and digital cameras This is why most modern EF and EF-S lenses still work on SLR film cameras.

APS-C APS-C = Advanced photo system type C (classic) APS was a format of camera film An APS sensor is smaller than a full frame sensor.

Canon EF lens vs EF-S The Canon EF-S uses an APS sensor Whereas the Canon EF uses a full frame sensor This means that less detail and less of the frame is captured using an EF-S lens

Canon EF lens This lens is designed to work on full frames but can also work on a smaller frame camera E.g A Canon EF 50mm (F/1.8) lens produces an 80mm field of view when used on a Canon APS-C format camera. This is called the crop factor Whereas an EF-S lens has a smaller image circle which produces a black vignette when used on a full frame camera

Full Frame and APS-C cameras Canon APS cameras include the 7D, 70D and all cameras produced before that including the Canon Rebel line Full Frame cameras include the Canon 1Dx, 5D and 6D Full frames are more expensive whereas APS-c lenses are smaller and lighter.
