Models and Designs Review

What is a system? What is the difference between a physical model and a conceptual model? Why do models change over time? How was the black-box experience like some experiences that scientists have?

Black Box- A system in which structure and behavior are not completely understood. Model- An explanation or representation of an object, system, or process that cannot easily be studied. Conceptual Model- A model that exists only in a person’s mind or on paper. Physical Model- A model that can be held and touched Consensus- When the entire group agrees
